Memoirs of a Geisha – Arthur Golden (448 pages)

This is one of the most beautiful novels I’ve ever read. The imagery and description took my breath away just as much as the plot did, and it was brilliantly written. Each page of the book was so intricately crafted that I didn’t want it to end.

The Picture of Dorian Gray – Oscar Wilde (188 pages)
As my previous review stated, this novel is full of epigrams and horror and sin, and it is extremely philosophical. I found myself questioning almost every aspect of human nature while reading this, and understanding detailed concepts that Wilde manages to simplify in only a few words. It was horrifying, beautiful, and deadly.

I am pretty content with my reading this month, but as always, there is room for improvement. Next month I want to read The Glass Menagerie, which I’ve been promising myself I would read for months but I’ve never gotten around to it.
